Στην ανατολική είσοδο του χωριού Μανδράκι Σερρών σώζονται κατάλοιπα προχριστιανικού κάστρου, γνωστά ως τα Αρχαία Τείχη Μανδρακίου. Τα ερείπια αυτά μαρτυρούν την ύπαρξη οχυρωμένου οικισμού σε στρατηγική θέση της περιοχής. Εικάζεται ότι το κάστρο κτίστηκε κατά την εποχή του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, γεγονός που ενισχύεται από την ανακάλυψη νομισμάτων με την προτομή του στην ευρύτερη περιοχή. Τα τείχη αποτελούν σημαντικό στοιχείο της τοπικής ιστορικής κληρονομιάς και συνδέονται με την αρχαία μακεδονική παρουσία στον Νομό Σερρών.
At the eastern entrance of the village of Mandraki in the Serres region, the remains of a pre-Christian fortress, known as the Ancient Walls of Mandraki, can still be seen. These ruins indicate the existence of a fortified settlement in a strategically important location. It is believed that the fortress was built during the era of Alexander the Great, a theory supported by the discovery of coins bearing his portrait found in the surrounding area. The walls represent an important part of the local historical heritage and reflect the ancient Macedonian presence in the region of Serres.
